Ho Rhu Pin is a Malaysian design professional, educator, and creative director with over 10 years of experience in visual arts, branding, and design education. He holds a Master of Visual Art & Design from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design & Multimedia from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Rhu Pin has extensive experience as a lecturer at Han Chiang College and SEGi University College, where he delivered a wide range of subjects including Typography, Corporate Identity Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Marketing, and Creative Thinking. His teaching approach integrates theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-relevant applications, enabling learners to develop both conceptual and technical competencies.

In addition to academia, he is the Founder and Creative Director of Lazybeing, a street fashion and design brand known for its original intellectual property (IP), the Lazybeing Sloth. He leads end-to-end creative processes including brand strategy, visual identity development, campaign execution, and product design. His industry exposure is further strengthened through his role as Business & Branding Director at Walnut Wellness, where he was responsible for branding strategy and marketing visual development. Rhu Pin specialises in IP design, branding, and visual storytelling, with notable collaborations including cross-cultural design projects with Yayasan Naga Nusantara (Indonesia). His work integrates cultural narratives, character design, and commercial applications, demonstrating strong capabilities in both creative innovation and market-driven design solutions.

He is also an Adobe Certified Associate in Graphic Design & Illustration and has actively contributed to the creative community as a speaker, facilitator, and exhibitor in various industry events and workshops. As an HRD Corp trainer, Ho Rhu Pin brings a balanced combination of academic expertise and industry practice, focusing on enhancing participants’ design productivity, creativity, and application of modern tools such as AI-driven design platforms. His training methodology emphasises hands-on learning, real-world projects, and practical skill development aligned with current industry demands.
